Vote for Funny! The Second City Returns
Cast a vote for laughter when Chicago's legendary sketch comedy theater takes on the election in their brand-new show.
Pittsburgh Public Theater is proud to welcome back The Second City for three performances on Friday, August 24 at 8 pm and Saturday, August 25 at 5:30 and 9 pm at the O'Reilly Theater. A cash bar will be open during each performance.
Just in time for the November elections, Chicago's famed comedy troupe is touring with their brand-new show, Second City for President. This gut-busting revue will dole out laughter at the expense of both sides of the aisle. If you elect to attend, their campaign promises non-stop hilarity and the wildest of political parties.
The Second City, which launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell and many others, celebrates more than 50 years of cutting-edge satirical revues. The Second City's current touring troupe features the next generation of the world's best and brightest, performing the company's trademark improvisation and hilarious sketch comedy with musical accompaniment and audience participation.
Second City for President kicks off The Public's Made in America season, which will feature seven more productions, written by American authors and set in cities across the United States.
