Subscriber Benefits

In addition to a thrilling season of exciting theater, subscribers to The Public enjoy these great benefits:

Guaranteed Ticket Savings

Subscribers save up to 40% over single ticket prices. Plus, you also save $5 per ticket on any additional single tickets purchased for subscription performances of mainstage shows throughout the season.

The Best Seats

Only subscription tickets ensure your seats to every production.

Guaranteed Parking Next Door to The O'Reilly

Subscribers may purchase a package of parking vouchers guaranteeing great parking at the Garage at Theatre Square. It's your guarantee of parking right next door for every subscription performance you attend at The Public. The cost for six vouchers is $36 plus a $6 handling fee. Please note: Parking vouchers are valid all day on weekends and after 4 p.m. on weekdays; not valid for Thursday matinees. To purchase parking vouchers, contact the O'Reilly Theater Box Office at 412.316.1600.

Thursday Matinee Subscribers: while reserved pre-paid parking cannot be arranged through The Public, you can reserve your parking through the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

Easy Ticket Exchange

Only subscribers can exchange their tickets — by mail, by phone, by fax or in person — up to one hour before the scheduled performance. The Box Office needs your subscription tickets "in hand" at least ONE HOUR prior to your originally scheduled performance time to ensure that they are available for resale.

Ticketless Exchange/Exchange By Phone or Mail

Step 1: Phone or visit the Box Office; provide your account number listed on your tickets.  The Box Office will assist you with checking availability and reserving your preferred new date of attendance.
Step 2:  Please tear your old tickets lengthwise so that no part of the ticket may be used OR mail your tickets to the Box Office as soon as possible.  This prevents two parties from arriving at the theater with the same seats.
Step 3: Once you have confirmed the new date and location, your seats will be exchanged, and your original seats will be available for immediate resale.

Exchange 24 Hours Prior to Curtain

Tickets may be exchanged up to one hour prior to your original performance date.  Tickets exchanged with less than one business day's notice will be subject to a $3.00 per ticket exchange fee to be paid by credit card at the time of the exchange.  If you fax your tickets to the Box Office at 412.316.8219 or return them in person to the Box Office up to one hour prior to curtain, the fee will be waived.

Exchange By Fax

Fax your tickets to the Box Office at 412.316.8219 up to one hour before your scheduled performance and the service fee will be waived.  Please note that you must call the Box Office to arrange your new performance prior to faxing your tickets for exchange.

Exchange in Person

You may also exchange future performance tickets at the Box Office up until one half-hour before curtain time or during the intermission break.

Please note: Ticket prices vary according to subscription plans and performance dates. If you exchange into a higher-priced performance, you will be charged the appropriate difference in price. There are, however, no refunds for moving into a lower-priced performance.

Can't Make a Show?

Subscribers may simply call the Box Office up to one hour before the scheduled performance and turn their tickets back in for a tax deduction.

Missed a Show?

Subscribers can exchange unused tickets for a complimentary "walk-in pass" for another performance of the same production (valid one time per season) or use them to purchase tickets to another performance of the same production for 50% off. (Restrictions do apply, so please call the Box Office for details.)
