Season 08-09 opens with RADIO GOLF, the final play of August Wilson's magnificent Century Cycle. Join us in making theatrical history as The Public becomes one of only three theaters in the world to have produced Wilson's entire 10-play cycle.
During our celebration of American playwrights, immerse yourself in the power of Eugene O'Neill's A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN, Helena Ruoti's tour-de-force performance in David Rambo's THE LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS, and the beauty of Mary Zimmerman's METAMORPHOSES, complete with gods, goddesses, and a center stage pool.
Plus, the O'Reilly stage is going to sizzle with Kander & Ebb's sensational song and dance revue, THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND.
Closing out this landmark season is the world premiere of HARRY'S FRIENDLY SERVICE, by Rob Zellers, co-author of THE CHIEF. It was just announced that HARRY'S FRIENDLY SERVICE is a recipient of the prestigious Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award.
