Foundation Support
Foundations — both national and local — play a key role in the success of Pittsburgh Public Theater. Each year, more than 25 private, community and family foundations contribute to The Public. With our dual artistic and educational mission — as well as our steadfast commitment to fiscal responsibility — The Public is an excellent fit for foundations with interests ranging from arts, culture and education, to youth, underserved populations and economic development.
In addition to providing general operating support, foundations provide necessary resources for our special initiatives. Recent grants have helped The Public to create significant new works such as The Glorious Ones, made it possible for more low-income students to attend our student matinees — and have even enabled us to upgrade and redesign The Public's web site.
The Public is deeply grateful for the many ways foundations help us to further our mission.
